Much thinner than I thought & easily bent out of shapeThe earrings arrived on time, and appeared to be the same items advertised; however, they came in a box that was clearly not original packaging, and one earring was smaller than the other. I returned them.The connecting pin on one of them came out before I even tried to put it in.CheapThese are very lightweight earrings and "solid" 14k gold which is good for those with allergy issues with most silver alloys. I say "solid" because there is not much to them at 0.31 grams for the pair and they are tubes that you would slightly twist to release the stem from the earring to put on and take off. You don't want to pull on them, just a gentle twist and they'll release and you can place them back. Though my wife and I would highly recommend put them in from the backside of your lobe so you can see the stem in the mirror and you can line it up much easier.They're lightweight is also good for those beginning to wear earrings as they don't pull down on the lobe much at all and they don't swing or twist with any force that would otherwise hurt sensitive ears. They are a little pricey for the material value since they've gone up to $55 at the time of review. So I would definitely be on the look out for any sales or coupons.I got these in the 12mm size because I really like delicate jewelry. These hoops are very small and dainty and look very cute in-ear. They are a bit cumbersome to put in - in such a small size, the earring itself sort of gets in the way when trying to put the post through my piercing, and also because of their small size, it is kind of hard to tell when the post has been secured back into the hoop. I have noticed it getting easier each time I swap earrings, so I'm sure it is just a bit of a learning curve and I don't fault the product for it at all, I just thought it might be worth noting.These do come with a presentation box, but I don't think this box does this size of hoop a lot of justice. Plus, I can see some sloppy hot glue application on the box as well. I didn't get these as a gift and don't plan on storing them in the box so I'm not really bothered by it, but if you are hoping to gift these I would consider purchasing a separate box.All in all, I am really happy with these hoops. They look beautiful, they are solid gold, and they are very lightweight and comfortable to wear.I love these earrings. They look nice next to my gauges! They are fairly easy to put on, I did have a little difficulty holding them open to get them in but it was not overly difficult. And they have not fallen out once.They are 14k gold. I have sensitive ears and cannot wear anything but natural stones or gold/metals in my ears without having a reaction.I think these earrings are very nice and very giftable! They come in a pretty gift box, too!Simple and attractive gold ear rings look good and are suitable for any occasion. These earings come in a gift box and are definitely suitable for gift giving.
